About ECQA Certified Terminology Manager - Advanced

The efficient and effective use of specialised language is a prerequisite for successful communication in business, education, scientific communities and the industry sector.  But specialised communication is not only an important economic factor, but also crucial to basic functions of society: health, safety, democracy and the rule of law. Its importance reaches beyond human-human communication to the interoperability of systems and technologies.

Terminology is the single most important factor of such specialised communication. It therefore requires professional and skilled management. The task of terminology management demands highly technical skills as well as excellent communication, management and decision-making abilities.
