The Panhellenic Association of Translators (PEM) was established in Thessaloniki in 1963 and is the oldest professional association of translators and interpreters in Greece. PEM's mission is to promote excellence in translation, interpretation and other linguistic professions in every area of social and economic activity.

In 2020, PEM established a Terminology Working Group with an aim to promote the value of terminology and terminology professionals and to facilitate terminology research and terminology management both for our members and for the general public.
